Every Thursday The Lions Club of West Seattle meets each Thursday at the West Seattle Senior Center at 12:10. Following lunch and a brief business agenda, an invited guest is given one half hour to speak on an important community subject or interesting topic. If you are interested in attending one of our meetings, contact us by E-mail and you will receive an invitation from one of our members.
PRESIDENTS REVIEW OF THE YEAR 2011-2012 I served as President of The West Seattle Lions 2010-2011. This is my second time in this office. This has been the best of any experience I have ever had in my life. I have learned more about working with a wonderful group of people and have achieved things I didn't know I could do. Lions Clubs are the largest service organation in the world. If you are thinking of joining, you would make a great choice. The West Seattle Lions Clubs is one of the oldest Clubs and we have a lot of fun. The members are wonderful people and are always looking for new ideas and are all people who are willing to work hard. If you join you will feel a sense of achievement and something you have missed in your life, serving the community, fundraising, and making choices that make you feel better about yourself. You may serve in your local Club for awhile and then step up in Lions. to do service within the larger organation.

2012 - 2013 Events
September 22th - Pancake Breakfast at the Senior Center - Very Successful - Thanks!
October 11th-13th - Multiple District 19 Convention at Nanaimo, BC
October 27th - Octoberfest Dinner at the West Seattle Senior Center. Everyone enjoyed the German dinner and the entertainment!
November - Book Distribution at West Seattle Schools - dates to be announced.
December 15th - Club Auction at regular meeting. Proceeds go to our service account. Members bring a unwrapped toy for our toy distribution at Christmas.
December 15th - CHRISTMAS PARTY !! At the Kenny Home. $25.00
January 26th - Pancake Breakfast - At the Senior Center 8AM to 11AM
February 16th - Valentine Sweetheart Dinner-Dance with Orchestra at the Senior Center
March 16th - St Patricks Dinner at the Senior Center. Please join Ray and I in attending this St. Patrick's Day Dinner/Dance. Reservations are needed prior to March 14th. Festivities will begin at 5:30PM at the West Seattle Senior Center. Options: Cornbeef or Breast of Chicken Cost $15.00 Contact: Pres. Harvey Rowe at 206-762-1221. Please join us !!
April 12th & 13th - Annual Plant sale at the Senior Center. Dahlia bulbs, Fuchsias, Rare and Scented Geraniams, Rhododendrons, Abutilons, tomato plants, etc.,etc. - This is a combined effort of several organizations including the West Seattle Garden Club, The Fuchsia Society, etc. Friday Night Spaghetti Dinner at 6:00PM for $6.00 and Saturday, Lunch is available.
May - Scholarship Dinner where scholarships are awarded. Details later.
