Every Thursday The Lions Club of West Seattle meets each Thursday at the West Seattle Senior Center at 12:00. Following lunch and a brief business agenda, an invited guest is given one half hour to speak on an important community subject or interesting topic. If you are interested in attending one of our meetings, contact us by E-mail and you will receive an invitation from one of our members.
Quick Summary of Year 2006 to 2007 by Judy Burbank I found the year as president to be very challenging! We had many successful fund raisers including a Christmas Craft Sale, Octoberfest, Valentine dinner, St.Patricks day dinner, Plant sale, Auction, etc. These funds allowed us to provide glasses for the needy, fund our Scholarship and Student of the month Programs, support the Senior Center, Leo Club, Yankee Clipper, Diabetes, Scouts, Care and White Cane. Membership continues to be a challenge as we lost two members during the year. Lions Club is a great service club and continues to do many great projects in our local community as well as internationally. Our club contributed over $3000 to the Sight First II campaign to eradicate preventable blindness in the world.
Ed McDowell, Past President
